. . 1. During the spring of 2002, PBS
stations aired a 2-hour NOVA program called
"Fire Wars". The documentary explained the
past, present, and future of fighting fires. It
features an excellent 15-20 minute segment
about Mann Gulch, including a computer
simulation and a reenactment. To check it out
select "video", type in the words "Fire Wars",
and then click on "go". 2. Another video
called "Escape: Fire in Mann Gulch" (produced for The History Channel, 45 minutes) is also
available through Amazon.com. .
