Meteor Shower Hike on August 11-12

Every summer the Evangelical Covenant Church offers several hikes . . . "hike(s) of the month". Total strangers are welcome! The hike for August will be an overnighter on August 11-12 to view an annual meteor shower from a meadow near MacDonald Pass.

Here's the plan . . .
If you sign up for this hike meet at 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Evangelical Covenant Church on Hoback, just south of Vigilante Stadium. From there we will carpool to Vista Point on MacDoanld Pass (less than 30 minutes away). From the parking area near the towers it is a fairly easy 2.7-mile hike to the meadow shown in the photo above. We will pitch our tents (optional), but plan to spend much of the night outside beneath the stars enjoying the annual meteor shower. We will return to town the next morning.
